Call me wordy, call me verbose...but 140 characters is simply not enough to disseminate semi-serious thoughts.  Oh, I continue to use Twitter...it's still good for posts like "Yay! It's a sunny day."  It has its uses but you must agree that it has its limits...and it's ruining my spelling and grammar skills...all in the name of linguistic parsimony.  

I do keep a meatier blog, three to four paragraphs per post on average.  It's called The Halifax Immigrant and it's where I put the "heavier" musings. It's been running for about three years now....but it's stuck in limbo after Apple decided to ditch MobileMe.  It's all packed and ready to leave iWeb...all it needs now is a new home.

So the convergence of these two unrelated circumstances--(1) the inadequacy of Twitter and (2) the abandonment by Apple--has led to a third option: The Halifax Immigrant Lite.  The posts here will be in between what you'll see from @hfx_immigrant and the hopefully-soon-to-be-reincarnated The Halifax Immigrant blog.  Posterous seems just the right vehicle for lighter, more casual reveries...so here goes nothing...
